My first time solo roving. Interesting stuff. Solo roving means I'm the sole cause of any local QRM. While I don't have
to manage any hunger/sleep/break issues other than my own, it's up to me to get it all right. I can't ask for a 2nd
opinion or work two radios at once. While the August UHF contest didn't have much participation, it was a good chance to
research new high points and find good spots to work from. I endeded up using the same rove plan in the next contest, so
I was able to use a low yield contest for some great research. It also helped that the UHF contest has fewer radio's and
bands than most VHF contest do. Got some good experience workng 900mhz and 10ghz. 900 is a great band and works many
times when 1.2 won't.
